By downloading, installing, or using the Bit2Bus mobile application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you should not use the App.

Description of Service

Bit2Bus is a professional mobile application designed for field bus configuration, specifically:

• DIP switch calculation for BACnet MSTP and Modbus RTU systems
• Cable length calculation for RS-485 networks
• Maximum device calculation based on load factors
• Comprehensive protocol reference information
• Educational content for field bus systems

Acceptable Use

Permitted Uses

You may use Bit2Bus for:

• Professional field bus system configuration and planning
• Educational purposes and learning about field bus protocols
• Engineering calculations and technical reference
• Commercial projects and professional work
• Teaching and training others about field bus systems

Prohibited Uses

You may NOT use Bit2Bus for:

• Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the App
• Creating derivative works or competing applications
• Removing or altering copyright notices or branding
• Any illegal or unauthorized purposes
• Attempting to extract or redistribute the source code

Intellectual Property Rights

Bit2Bus and all its contents, features, and functionality are owned by RappoDEV and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your Rights

Subject to these Terms, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

• Download and install the App on compatible devices you own or control
• Use the App for its intended purposes as described
• Use calculation results in your professional work

Our Rights

RappoDEV retains all rights, title, and interest in:

• The Bit2Bus application and its source code
• All logos, trademarks, and branding
• Calculation algorithms and methodologies
• User interface design and experience
• Educational content and reference materials

Accuracy and Reliability

Calculation Accuracy

We strive to provide accurate calculations, but:

• You should verify critical calculations independently
• Industry standards and regulations may change
• Specific project requirements may differ from standard calculations
• Environmental factors may affect real-world performance

Reference Information

The educational and reference content is provided for informational purposes and:

• Should not replace official protocol documentation
• May not cover all edge cases or special requirements
• Should be supplemented with manufacturer specifications

Disclaimer of Warranties

Bit2Bus is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Implied warranties of merchantability
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement of third-party rights
• Accuracy or completeness of calculations
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RappoDEV shall not be liable for:

Direct Damages

• Any loss of profits, revenue, or business opportunities
• Project delays or additional costs
• Equipment damage or system failures

Indirect Damages

• Consequential, incidental, or punitive damages
• Loss of data or information
• Third-party claims or damages

Maximum Liability

In any case, our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App (which is currently free).

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RappoDEV from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the App in violation of these Terms
• Your use of calculation results in professional projects
• Any modifications you make to the App
• Violation of any third-party rights

Updates and Modifications

App Updates

We may provide updates to improve the App, including:

• Bug fixes and performance improvements
• New features and functionality
• Security enhancements
• Updated reference information

Terms Updates

We may modify these Terms at any time by:

Termination

Termination by You

You may terminate this agreement at any time by:

• Uninstalling the App from your devices
• Ceasing all use of the App
• Deleting any downloaded content

Termination by Us

We may terminate your access if you:

• Violate these Terms of Service
• Use the App for prohibited purposes
• Attempt to harm or exploit the App

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Germany. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Germany.

Export Control

The App may be subject to export control laws. You agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding the export, re-export, and transfer of the App.

Accessibility

We strive to make Bit2Bus accessible to users with disabilities. If you encounter accessibility barriers, please contact us so we can work to address them.

Open Source Components

Bit2Bus may include open source software components. These components are governed by their respective licenses, which are available within the App or upon request.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to be valid and enforceable.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and RappoDEV regarding the use of Bit2Bus.
